The Storm's Bellow

Silence, because all the words in the world couldn't explain
Disinterest, when it becomes to unbearable to understand the pain,
Death, is how my heart and soul reacted to the shame

I can't seem to understand, nothing is making sense
I swear to God I'm damned, standing outside the fence
My fingers through the loops, I already lost when they began to choose
Jenny was spoken for, I turn to walk out the door

I tried this is just how it goes, I had handed her a rose
She laughed and tossed it in the trash, all because of my status
I'm not worth the time.

But no! This is not the end of my rhyme

Surprise, when the blade found me, frustrated tears in my pillow
Alive, as I discovered I was a natural and life poured into my soul
Champion, as I became one of the best known as the Storm's Bellow

Finally I sleep peacefully, I've never felt this good
The void inside is filled for me, this blade puts me in a better mood
Jenny's smile is like the coming of day, her eyes a mystic blue
Now she's so far away, and a new void knifes through

I had tried so hard to forget, things inside that matter most
Furious at life's complex roads, soul and heart more than distant ghosts
I have to resurrect feelings long since dead
Buried in the darkest corners of my head

Ignorance, never noticing love always stood right outside the door
Impudence, not uncommon to be weak at heart and strong as a boar
Abeyance, but now I realize Jenny wasn't the one, it was another

Now she's dying in my arms, so many things I want to say
The challenge ended outside the farm, it's my fault and the dreams of
Jenny's face
All she wanted to tell me was she was in love
She had followed me as I had tried to impress a ghost

And so the story goes, a young, rejected man, grew to be The Storm's
Bellow
While a girl followed him, he was trying to impress Jenny
This girl wanted was his attention, and now her world is ending
Not even a duel could curry his impression

Disgusted, with myself for the tragedy I have created
Dejected, as I slump back into the darkness I thought I escaped
Irnoic, how rejection blinded me to love and determination

Keep you eyes open, if it's anything I've learned
Don't let any possibility be forgotten, let no chance go spurned
And the girl lying in the farmland
Was the end of the Storm's Bellow

Penned by my hand on the 19th of Miraman, in the year 385 AF.
