Gone

I played my songs for them in the desert,
And they are gone.
Friends? Enemies? Workers doing a job?
They were slaughtered.
The blood of their one life irrigates
Dead sand.
We know nothing.

Penned by my hand on the 11th of Scarlatan, in the year 382 AF.
