Too many serious posts on the poetry board!

A Man's Guide to Sporting Romances
(A collection of verses for the man of action).

A lonely young rider had formed
An unnatural love for his horse.
A stable relationship
Was what he needed, of course.

***
A billiards player liked
Women who were small and round,
And when he made love, he made sure
That he kept one foot on the ground.

***
A tennis player was handsome
And considered a fortunate catch,
But unfortunately he required,
New balls after every match.

***
His brother also played tennis
And had acquired himself a name
For being one with the ladies.
Love-All was the score in each game!

***
Playing golf is relaxing
Out there on the green.
But in the rough, some funny stuff
Goes on quite unseen!

***
Some men prefer a short sprint
And others a marathon's pace,
But remember it's how you run it,
And not the length of your race!

***
Now swimmers should all be single,
For the sight of girlfriends and wives
Can upset the aerodynamics
When making those complex high dives.

***
A girl is not like a relay
Be focussed, be calm and don't trip,
But when you pass her over,
On your baton, maintain a firm grip.

***
