The Interrogator's Credo
------------------------

Always remember this:
Never hesitate to inflict pain
Never hesitate to exert control
Never hesitate to hurt, to wound, to destroy
Never hesitate to use the tools at your command
Never hesitate to strike terror in your victim's heart.
But remember this as well:
Torture, suffering, grief, hate, and fear
All these are in your bag of tricks
Yet none of them cut so deep as kindness
Regret will deaden a heart, pain will break it
But kindness, when deftly applied,
Shatters even the mightiest man
Makes weeping fools of the weak
Penetrates where the knife cannot stab,
The whip cannot gash and torture cannot reach
To give richest pain when none was there before.

Penned by my hand on the 21st of Valnuary, in the year 376 AF.
