Poetry News Post #1973

Untitled

Written by: Neran'thos Greyda Wildfang-Op'Shae
Date: Monday, July 26th, 2004
Addressed to: Tempest of the North, Caz Silverfang, the Raging Bear

Bitterly selfish and proud
Love was cast off by a lonely soul
Lost to herself and blind

Shadows fell over the sun
Rains descended -- a drowning grief
Chilling and numbing within

Denying the storm that raged,
Raising a front of serenity -- she
Embraced false inner peace

She faded in disrepair
Twisting below a cover of grey
Untouchable and withdrawn

Searching in the void
Selfless and sure he rescued her from
The sinking hole of doubt

Cradled in tender arms
Sight was awakened -- and then a face
Smiled -- familiar yet new

Treading now a new ground
Newly reformed from loss -- This
Renaissance of the heart

Penned by my hand on the 11th of Miraman, in the year 369 AF.
