The Girl across the Street

The Girl across the Street
Has nothing to eat

Are we all in shock, or are we blind?
Why does this world have to be so unkind?

We all look away, even if we care
Tomorrow is another day, But we must learn to share

The girl across the Street is all alone
Only six years old but still all on her own

Daddy brings only Violence, Mommy, only pain
In a house of secret and silence, a house all full of shame

The girl across the street
I never got to meet

Never got to live her life
Nor smile, grow up, or be a wife

This little girl was all to late
Let's save other children from similiar fate

<3- Roxanna

Penned by my hand on the 2nd of Valnuary, in the year 368 AF.
