Someone once told me long ago
That dreams always come true
That love was real and always lasts
They’ve never felt the way I feel.

I’ve locked myself within the walls
And tried so hard to hate you
I can't forget that haunting lie
That ‘true love never dies’

Don’t fill my heart with hopes and dreams
That you cannot fulfill
Promises to walk the aisle
And speak vows you never will

They tell me things will fade with time
I already see the scars
Yet the aching still beats strongly
Why do I still feel?

I think I understand now
The necessity of faith
The work I throw myself into
I know now what I must do

I know what blooms from 'love'
It doesn't matter what you lie
