For those who feel the pain of absence -- whether in those stolen
moments of silence that can come sometimes in one's life, or whether it
is a constant ache in the heart and soul.

A MOMENT WITH YOU

It's been a long, long time
but I still think of you
and miss you without meaning to.
When you left, there was no goodbye,
not a word from you -- even to this day.
I've had to bury the pain so deep inside,
in a place that doesn't hurt anymore --
a place where there's no reason to cry.

And yet...
When I look upon a starless sky
and feel this empty loneliness inside me,
all I want is to have you close,
to feel your love beside me.

I would give up anything in my life,
just to have that moment with you...
To have you come back here
and tell me how much you care--
I would give up anything in my life,
without hesitating, without looking back...
I'd give it all,
just for a moment with you like that:

A moment when this deep ache in my heart stops hurting,
when I can hear you say my name --
A moment when love can heal this age-old wound,
when I'll never again feel its pain.

I would give my all, and so much more,
just to have you here, like I did before.
