Voices and Choices

A path of Evil you follow, indeed,
But this is not the path that all of us need.
For dominance over the weak, you do strive,
But when everyone does this will you still be alive?

For only Divine are without any flaw,
And so if you follow the word of your Law,
Not a mortal will be left to rule over this land:
Every one of us will have been slain by our mortal brother's hand.

A path of Valour, of Righteousness True,
This is that path that seems hidden to you.
This path is quite open, however, and many now see
What Goodness is, and what it is to be free.

I try not now to silence your voice,
For each of us, our own path is our choice.
A choice which to each of us, Sarapis gave,
So that none of us ever should become another's slave.

We see your Truths, and we choose not to heed,
Rather we help the downtrodden with Good word and Good deed.
So later those weaker may grow to be strong,
They will know what is Good, they will know right from wrong.

The path of Evil may be your own choice,
And no one has the right to silence your voice.
But understand that we too may express our own views:
The path of true Good and Valour I choose.

Penned by my hand on the 8th of Scarlatan, in the year 361 AF.
