Death's True Purpose

Written by: Quaero Aeris Hatori Sohma, Ulangi Woodland Scholar

Addressed to: Thoth, God of Death

Death is mostly known,
for the pain it causes in others.
Not very often is it heard,
that it's a joyous thing to happen to a person's soul.
Yet people can't look past the grave,
to see some of the wonderful things,
that Death does to the environment,
and to the very world around us.
It allows the young plants to grow strong,
as the old standing trees fall.
Old words of wisdom from the dead,
are more remembered now that thier life has ended.
So Death isn't all taking,
it gives back to the world in a way,
that isn't seen my the masses of the land.
Death's true purpose,
is to allow life to continue here,
to allow new things to rise,
and new souls to walk.

Penned by my hand on the 20th of Miraman, in the year 359 AF.
