Fear of Absolution

I've found that a marriage blooms elsewhere than love
Wings ride upon hawks and crows as doves
A crimson pride rises to rub out the deep
As crimson blood thrives in our every beat
A handshaking gesture can wake me from sleep,
Can call forth my fear and the hatred I keep
The tables now turned, for my world is wracked
Fetal, I tremble, am taken aback
A smile and an olive -- a fatal attack
I stood much more steady when hatred was fact
I bury the hatchet with knife tucked away
I'm wary, I'm watching, afraid of the day

That rightousness thus could show me to fright
Stable hate crushed by the chaos in light

Penned by my hand on the 18th of Daedalan, in the year 358 AF.
