Missing You

I'm drifting away into dreams again,
The vagueness that takes me when you're not here:
The waiting, aching want, the hollow pain,
The memories of you, so sharp and clear.
My heart and mind are full, my blood rushes,
With the heart-skipping shock of skin on skin
As our fingers touch; the sudden flash as
Our eyes meet, looking away shy again.
My thoughts drift always to the memory
Of the trembling within, of passions raw,
Of the need like hunger that roars through me
When I see you in the distance once more.
I hold these memories, so pure and true;
I hold them close, till the day I hold you.
Penned by my hand on the 16th of Lupar, in the year 351 AF.
