Poetry News Post #1633

To my Admirer

Quietly
From a distance
You scribe a letter
Give it to the doves
Trusting their wings to
Carry your heart to me
In my hands
You avow me as divinity
Speaking of my beauty
As if you have seen me
Firsthand
Yet, your fear
Will be what keeps you from me
A woman's heart can be
Intrigued
Flattered
Romanced
However a woman's heart
Can also be
Inpatient
Unrelenting
Damaged
You may feel that I am your eternity
Know that I will not wait an eternity
For you to bespeak your name
To make known your presence
Overcome your fear
And you may yet be able
To present your heart
Come and find me
If you are willing
Two months hence
From this free verse's posting
Near the sea
South of the Aalen
South of Muurn Jungle
Standing
Waiting
Quietly
And fearless
On a sandy beach

Belynia Isithrandil

Penned by my hand on the 5th of Lupar, in the year 351 AF.
