I Do Not Think You Can See Me

Quietly tracking through the forests and glades
I glace at you silently through the green blades
The sun falls through the leaves in whispery shades
I stand there quietly hoping you will see
However, I do not think you can see me

As the sun climbs higher into the azure sky
The songs of the majestic birds on wing do fly
I reach for the plants since my hands are to shy
The herbs creating their own potpourri
Yet still, I do not think you can see me

The dusky shadows are taking over as the sun falls
Brothers and sisters of nature begin nighttime calls
They create echoes under the rich verdant halls
As the moons rise up before our eyes free
I look; I do not think you can see me

The orange sky disappears in the fading light
As the mantle of stars and heavy cloak of night
Bring forth dalliance and romantically excite
In silence, I wish for you and that I was She
Because I do not think you can see me
