Winter Snowfall

By Galin Op'Shae

One cold winter day,
I journeyed a stray,
I was in the woods,
Learning all I could,
I like exploring,
Lands I am learning,
I drifted off path,
And faced winter's wrath.

As I started back,
I had lost my tracks,
Chaos had fallen,
It was covering,
The world was engulfed,
Removal of it was loathed,
My survival was lost,
I felt bites of frost.

As despair had come,
I knew I was done,
I felt the snow win,
It covered my skin,
As soon as I lost,
Sun overcame frost,
Faster than it fell,
The sun stopped its spell.

Breaking clouds above,
I felt all the love,
The light melting it,
The snow took its hit,
Then it came to me,
What all this did mean,
If the route should stray,
The light will still stay.

Keeping an eye out,
To show us about,
What path we should take,
And choices to make,
All things set aside,
The light is a guide,
For our great journey,
For what life may be.

Though some may not choose,
The light's path to use,
To dark's path they stray,
Their hope fades away,
As light rescues them,
Snow they join again,
And burry in it,
But I'll avoid it.

Its cold depths I fear,
It's what I can't bear,
Its everywhere,
But the light is near,
It will always fight,
To give out the right,
For you to be free,
And to live in glee.

As I choose my fate,
The light path I take,
Learning all the truths,
Seeing all the proof,
Why justice is grand,
The light I demand,
For me to be free,
The light I do need.
