Lost in dark endless skies,
alone I floated aimlessly around till' you arrived.
Hazy dreams in my eyes,
illusions cocooned me from everyone except from you.

Like a drop of rain breaking calm water,
your voice came to pierce my hidden mind;
Now I'm no longer guarded by visions.
Falling from the sky I find that
never have I felt so free or alive.

Spiralling towards you,
how could I ever be drawn in by your silent promise?
There's gravity in you
that pulls my soul to stay beside yours and never stray.

Maybe it was something in your eyes, love,
that sent reality crashing through.
You saw past all the lies those dreams gave me.
A false sense of security to rob me
of the sweet life I had hoped for.

Eyes staring in wonder
as though experiencing everything for the first time.
My guard up no longer,
I grew angry with fate for leaving me to drift away.

I cried out that fate can be so cruel...
Deny my responsibility.
Destiny's decided not by chances
but by the choices I make today,
tomorrow and sorrowful yesterdays.

I chose to be near you,
when you came out from reality to liberate me.
Words whispered, please ring true...
