By Jalex.
A psalm.

I hear a rustle in the grass,
But there is no wind to stir it,
I see a ripple in a pond,
But no fish is there.

On the streets I hear footpads behind me,
But I see nothing,
In the undergrowth leaves crunch,
But still no-one can be seen.

Yet I know who it is that follows me,
Who it is that guards me from danger.
To his friends He is as a gentle lamb,
But to his enemies as a fierce lion.

When the sun burns,
His shadow shields me,
When the wind howls,
His warmth envelops me.

And when I lie in asleep at night,
I know that I am safe,
Because in the distance,
I hear His roar.

Penned by my hand on the 9th of Aeguary, in the year 345 AF.
