The time that never ended
Gave me life and broken glasses
In case I ever couldn't see
And the angels filled my head
They didn't like what my eyes thought
And so they gave me hearing aide
To whisper to my mind
What more was right and more like them
Suddenly my hand it held a pen
But I couldn't draw those angels, though I tried
And amidst the drifting feathers
I had torn off from their back
Lay the key to my door shining, and it said,
"Pick me up and open
all those locks to let loose
Because you don't need all this help,
you are't sick, just confused
Throw those fake eyes and ears
Away to the birds
Unlock the door to your mind, and let your mind out to be heard
You know, those angels and those clocks may sing
And try to help you know the world
But if it's your voice the world will hear
It's the only voice that need be here."
