Dream

I didn't write this poem, but the author who did write it has allowed me
to use it in reference to what I am about to use it as. This is just a
note in case there are any copyright notices for anything placed on this
newsboard. I will place the author's name at the end of the poem.

In Honour of Tarah...

I dreamed I walked into a place
That no one had ever found.
An empty feeling crept about;
The silence drowned out sound.

And there I saw a little girl
Who stood stiff, like a tree.
She wore a face of loneliness,
Her mournful eyes on me.

"I have been cursed," she sadly said.
"I must stand here and wait,
Until this world, both yours and mine,
Is rid of all its hate."

At this point I woke from sleep,
Though dream was still at mind.
I felt so sorry for that girl
And saw what makes us blind.

The hatred that we keep inside
Will tear our lives apart.
So overcome and chase away
This plague that burns your heart.

~Catherine Liow

Penned by my hand on the 2nd of Chronos, in the year 337 AF.
