Transition

I
Can't find the way
I
Don't know if I've gone astray
I
Decided long ago
I
Don't remember though

You
Came in as the rain
I
Was washed and born again
Seas
Foamed from then til evermore
I
Refused this sight before

I never thought it would be so cold
I never thought I'd change these clothes
Take off the robes of old
To bathe in revival

It never came out to me
I feel the leaves upon the breeze
I was never blind, and now I cannot see
The things that were tearing me

The water washed into my eyes
It hurt, pushing saline aside
I ceased to think the same
The thoughts came flooding in

I can't I don't care anymore I feel everywhere
I see I hear I taste I don't feel anymore
I feel the senses all but the pain washed away
Rained
Pouring everywhere you're everyone
Whether where what or when
Why not I thought, I think now why
And decide why is because it can

Some
Say ignorance is bliss
I
Have concluded this
They
Chide my ignorance
Why
Deny your happiness?

Finally I feel the free feeling stealing
Like a demon fleeing hot water light
Like a shadow melting into the night
I didn't know what I was dealing
I didn't know if I was sealing
Pandora's box, or if I might
Yet open up the corded blight
And send my whole reality reeling

The worst and best part still was there
I didn't know if I was grasping
I didn't know if I despised
The curse and boon of if I cared
Was I'd be stuck gasping
In apathetic mediocracy's eyes

Never to rise, yet never to die

But it doesn't matter
Now I can fly
You are my wings
And I fear no heights

I hold onto our feathers
With the skin of the sky

Penned by my hand on the 3rd of Valnuary, in the year 336 AF.
