All feedback on my writing is appreciated. This poem greatly reflects
some emotions and conflict I had recently. There just seemed to be a
constant flow of words coming to me as I wrote it.

we had no war
but we were lost to eyes of laughter
and so you thought us weak
discarded, mad
when slaughtered by the rain
we stood in silence

kept hold of honour to last breath
and if our eyes betrayed the cold
in which we found comfort
we kept our word

you gave us hate
we bless you for it
no goddess gives a better gift

you found pride
and ingorance in passion
such vicious, sweet and delicate
mistakes

and tearing appart a rose
it's by your hand that we were blessed
yet we still stand in silence

eyes closed in understanding
hold our promise
and do not seek forgivness
for the only thing that grants it
lies shattered at our feet

so silence tore at our souls
and we still kept our promise

- Simarwen

Penned by my hand on the 11th of Daedalan, in the year 333 AF.
