Night Song
Each eve, dust falls, sun sets.
Valnurana descends to enfold the world
To bless the dwellings of mortal lands
With restful touch of her outstretched hand.
By nature or will remain a few
Awake in witness to the shaded view
When the heavens put forth their gentle glow,
So clear above, and scattered below.
A quiet song echos, than silence
Carried on the seaward breeze
Past shore and cliff then under trees
And tarries amoung Ithmia's Eves.
I, drawn by the will of this lonely bird
As the haunting melody unfurls
Pass thru the shrouded and still glades
Until the moon reveals her face
And the night commands me to obey.
When the heavens put forth their gentle glow,
So clear above, and scattered below
I am struck to my core,
And know I have found my home.
Penned by my hand on the 15th of Daedalan, in the year 331 AF.
