Tension

Have you felt the whisper of fear, the heartskip of tension
That tender anxiety of love's first kiss
Felt the chill of the heat up your spine, the senses resounding
Wondered if something could have come to this?

[Dream we of salt water and crimson brine]
(Sing we do now of the time that we cherish)
[Deliver us quickly from the pain that we seek]
(Confusion sets in with a eu phor ic scene)
[Ming'gl'ing sorrow with mere mortal pleasures]
(Wandering slowly with not a care for ou' r way)
[Wondering how this might have come to be]
(Wondering how this perchance came to be)

[I know that some day we surely find our path]
( Day breaks again with the light on our backs)
[Again I must say; not all wand'rers are lost]
( Sought we the night far beyond the morn frost)
[Feel now the trembling of the earth beneath you]
( Love now is still all I bequeath you)
[It rolls with a pleasant shake that is soft]
( Take it that it may replace what was lost)

Tell me now the world spins around us
Binding itself to retreat from our sight
You are my world, alone my intentions
Take to me now as we walk into night

Penned by my hand on the 13th of Valnuary, in the year 327 AF.
