The Ballroom

The Ballroom

I stepped upon the marble,
That clicked underneath my heels.
I smiled and I spun,
In my dress that was sheer.

I laughed and I joked,
And sung.
I was happiest then I'd ever been,
And then it was done.

Now here I am again,
Slumped shoulders and dull eyes.
A teardrop forming,
Much to my surprise.

My face become contorted,
With an anger and sadness.
My gaze came to rest on the ground,
And all was silent.

Cosmos/Jessi

Penned by my hand on the 17th of Valnuary, in the year 313 AF.
