This Ache

Written by: Eternal Gaian, Keeper Darryl Winterhart, Initiate of Honour

Addressed to: Everyone

I cannot fall asleep this night.
This restless ache will not leave me.
Against myself, a constant fight
That no one else can see.
It tears a wound in my very soul,
Robbing me of my sense of self
And all desire to pursue goals.
I think I need to call for help.
Can anyone understand this ache?
Will I ever find myself free?
How much more can I really take?
I'm begging of you, please see
Into the roaring depths of my heart,
Into the very core, the soul of me.
Help. I've needed you from the start.
Be the one, the valiant mind.
This burden, away from me take.
Aid me, please, myself to find.
Guide me from this bitter ache.

Penned by my hand on the 7th of Mayan, in the year 311 AF.
