Winter

Written by: Corin's Angel, Syrah Ardure
Date: Wednesday, July 10th, 2002
Addressed to: Everyone

As icy tendrils wrap themselves around my soul,
Winter threatens to turn my heart cold and freeze me from the inside
out.
The blizzard raging inside pushes me closer to the edge of the cliff,
As the rocky bottom beneath threatens to engulf me in her desolate
embrace.
Where did the warm summer evenings go?
What happened to the carefree days in the basking glow of the sun?
Winter has wrapped her wicked fingers around my soul
And is threatening to squeeze the last bit of life from me, one drop at
a time.
Will I ever hear the sound of a summer breeze
Rustling through the tress on a warm eve again?

Penned by my hand on the 1st of Valnuary, in the year 310 AF.
