Of my love.

To the one I love

Daylight seems cold without your presence
Though the light cascades from the heavens
No warmth from it do I derive
For warmth in my life is you, my love.

Water quenches no thirst,
Clothes grant no warmth to the wind
Air seems stagnant and dry,
You, your light, survives me.

When about you, the day grows warm
The nights, too pleasant
All hardship, becomes but a toil
For you, my love, tis my all.

C.d.V.

Penned by my hand on the 21st of Phaestian, in the year 307 AF.
