Tossing and Turning

Tossing and Turning

Cold and dark,
Is all that greets me.
I climb into bed,
Alone and weeping.

Thinking as I do,
Always of you.
Your warm bed,
And your shared dreams.

Lying awake,
The tears dried already.
And you have someone,
As I lay alone.

The pillow's gone flat,
And still I'm tossing and turning.
I wonder if you think of me,
As my eyes start burning.

Hold her close,
Don't forget.
There's someone alone in a cold, dark bed,
Tossing and turning.

Penned by my hand on the 2nd of Sarapin, in the year 307 AF.
