Loneliness Rejected

A life alone cannot be
If there was only one
For it would soon diminish
A war that can't be won

Because we are each other
And if there was no one else
Who is to tell who I am?
Another doll atop life's shelf?

Because we mold each other
Into different, seperate lives
And if there was only one
No one could hear their cries

Because we shape each other
And if I am alone
Then how am I to be different?
From the others who are none?

How am I to be myself?
How do I identify?
What am I supposed to do?
If there was no one else

Because we aren't each other
Because we all lead different lives
Because there are different people
I can be seen through different eyes
