Valete, liberi ... diebus fatalibus

overlooking ithmia
flames -
like Sol's subtle children
creeping across
rosy-fingered dawn

trees felled like ancient curses
with a
SNAP
from divine fingers

... valete liberi ...
... ... diebus fatalibus ... ...

there is nothing left here
now
beyond charred acres of
asphyxiated trees -
mangled roots
once vibrant

atrum aeternus ...
... animadverto vita

in single tears the
Earthmother
collects rain
for her children

... ... for all her children

existo laetitia:
firewalls will not always
stay standing
Gaia needs not
cry

in the depths of
darkenwood -
a tiny ginseng plant
spreads its roots
to grow

... do not give up now
while there is still hope ...

Penned by my hand on the 22nd of Lupar, in the year 299 AF.
