The night

Written by: Dark Witch Silverstorm Saer'rac, Lady of Tiphareth

Nightime musings, calling, crying
Waking up in silent tears
Lonely cold of strange forebearings
Burning shadows full of fears

Reason fleeing, and the heartbeat
Racing wildly out of tune
Bringing past and future crashing
Soaring to the darkened moon

Dreams are calling, dreams that beckon
Heart's great passion rules supreme
But Reality of waking
Screams to me it's but a dream

Hazy warmth of comfort mornings
Yellow flowers by my bed
Lazy, gladdening contentment
Won't to strife of night be lead

But when starlight slips unnoticed
On my blankets every night
Night's deep darkness still embraces
Casting out the haze of light

Soothing, comfortable ventures
Disappear into the shade
Roaring oceans of danger
Are once more before me laid.

Shall I sail the crashing ocean
Far from coasts so warm and old
Throw myself to whirwind's screaming?
Am I ready? Am I bold?

On a cliff I stand in waiting
On the edge 'tween shore and sea
If I sail the furious oceans
I will need a ship to flee

If I swim, then I shall drown
Death will make my choice for me
But while breath is in my body
I will strive to live, to be.

If the faroff night of dreaming
Calls to me through stars' sweet song
In the nightmares, crying, pending
Come. And I will go along.

Penned by my hand on the 22nd of Chronos, in the year 297 AF.
