The Green Party and Aftermath

In honour of Demeter's arrival to the Garden, Eris held an egghunt. Two
prizes were awarded, the first prize was Green Gloves of Harvesting that
went to Aringar and the second prize was a magic green flowerpot that
went to Mistral. Afterwards, Eris held a party in the Black Forest where
Chaos Tequila flowed and green cake was plentiful. When both Eris and
Demeter got divinely drunk (as long as many mortals, notably Entreri),
Eris decided to play a little joke on Demeter and gave Her and
Melpomene, spirit of the Black Forest, a goblet filled with Primal
Chaos. They drank and, almost immediately, the effects were seen.
Demeter, Melpomene and the Black Forest began to show chaotic effects.
Demeter, not to be outdone, slipped Eris a goblet filled with the
primordial matter of the Green. Still drunk Herself, Eris imbibed and
the effects upon Chaos were shown both on Eris Herself and the Great
Erisian Pyramid. Both goddesses retired to sober up, neither quite aware
what their mutual pranks would have on their realms.

Trees in the Black Forest began to mutate, turning into wildling trees
that were alternately hostile or reticent. When Demeter awoke after
resting up from the debauched party, She was none too pleased to find
the Black Forest trees being turned into these chaotic mutations. She
caused fiery reddish orange roses to grow in the Aerinewild forest that
helped return these wildling trees into more gentle creatures. Druids,
sentinels and friends of the forest worked diligently to feed the roses
to the wildling trees. But, once touched by chaos, things are changed
forever, and these wildlings would not revert back to the trees that
they were. But the friends of nature soon discovered that there was a
grain of intellect within these wildlings. By tirelessly teaching these
wildling trees to think and speak, a wondrous thing happened. They
turned into a new race of beings, called the treekin. The first to
become a true treekin was Mossfoot and ever so slowly, all the wildling
trees in the Black Forest followed suit as mortals struggled to help
them become sentient.

For Her part, Eris was much dismayed at seeing the Tier of Primal Chaos
in the Great Erisian Pyramid begin to turn into a primordial forest.
Wildling trees also began to form in this half forest-half chaos
environment, though they were much different than their Black Forest
cousins. Once Her frustration ebbed, Eris settled into scheming what to
do with this development and only time will tell what fate awaits for
these new creatures that live in the Great Erisian Pyramid.

Penned by my hand on the 15th of Chronos, in the year 315 AF.
