On a lazy Valnuary, in the year after the 852 AF Championship Games, Sapience at large enjoyed a languorous summer, here and there interrupted by the bloodthirst of the Mhaldorian Staff wielder, Crixos Nithilar.

Little did the world know that a new nation was to rise that month.

With Her typical fanfare, Pandora, the Wayward Heir, announced that what were once the Imperial Gardens of Cyrene were now officially the Wayward Heights, and invited one and all to come visit and even sign up for counselling sessions with the Goddess Herself.

Reactions were mixed. Some, namely those with a penchant for mischief or who usually could not visit the gardens for reasons political and military, were delighted. Others, namely the more traditionalist Cyrenians, were outraged. How could this Goddess simply claim a place of Cyrene as Her own?

The answer lay with a series of recent events, where a conflict between the Imperiate and Phaestus, the Smith, over the palatability of bargaining with Chaos Lords left the city devoid of a Divine Patron. With its other Divine citizens otherwise preoccupied, the vacuum of power meant that Pandora was, quite literally, free to do as She please in the now Godless land, for better or for worse.

The future of the newly-founded Wayward Heights remains uncertain. Will Cyrene's repeated military expeditions, led by Keorin, Kog Terias, and Gallida triumph against a being who can simply dispose of mortals with a flick of Her wrist? Will attempts at diplomacy, as seen during the Heights' first diplomatic summit in the former Imperial teahouse, featuring Senator Laedha Vorondil, prove successful? Or, perhaps, it will simply be a matter of a permanent new resident in the gardens until Someone decides to throw Her out.

The only certainties are the laws that Pandora established for Wayward Heights:

* There is only one Queen and one citizen - Pandora Herself.
* Violence is forbidden, by threat of death, forced relocation, or mental and emotional torture. This includes raising shrines, stationing guards, or other preparatory military actions.
* Those who abuse the Heights to launch raids against its neighboring state of Cyrene will suffer the consequences.

Summary: Due to a lack of Cyrenian Patron, Pandora moved into Cyrene's Imperial Gardens and declared them as Her own, renamed the Wayward Heights.

Penned by My hand on the 18th of Lupar, in the year 853 AF.
