Rebirth and Death

A lone voice carried across the eastern seas, proud and unabashed, "Cursed monster of the Deep, you have no claims here. These waters belong to the Tritonic Empires and its people. You won't live to see another sun!"

With a terrifying ease Thymos, Ravager of Coasts dismantled the lowly creatures found in the waters around Tasur'ke before responding to the challenge set forth by Prince Anaxos of Phocia with glee. With a tremendous bellowing, he blew into a conch shell, awakening the primordial nine-headed terrapin that had long laid dormant below the ruins of Lemnos.

A faint voice within the waters of Riparium caused the spirit to listen once more. This time though, she heard a name, Eusia, and something within her awoke. After all these years she had forgotten even her name, and now as the word played across her senses, she quickly understood what was happening in her waters.

Knowing what must be done, she rose to the surface, all of her power flooding back into her at once, and she twirled around the horrible monster and its rider. Not in a thousand years had she danced with such purpose, and a gentle rain formed around her, soothing the ancient pair till the korathoi fell into the ocean swells and the terrapin slowly floated back towards Sapience.

Perhaps it was the strength of Thymos, or perhaps the long slumber had dulled Eusia's sense, regardless, the spirit was surprised as the Ravager leapt from the waters towards her, and claimed her arm in a victorious roar. The cries of the Eastern Guardian shook the entirety of the realm and from the eastern horizon, a cavalry of nacreous water horses raced across the waves to crash into her attacker.

Clad in His battle gear, there stood the Warrior, Lord Neraeos Fylakas wielding the Spear of Tides with firm intent. The waves swallowed the spirit and from the Oceans depths, she watched. The Eusian Ocean churned with a flurry of activity, as God and monster waged a fierce battle while the landwalkers set sail to fell the mighty terrapin once and for all.

Eusia heard the God-King proclaim the fate of both Thymos and the Tower of the Blue Abyss, "Let my Father's mistake be cleansed in the waters of this world. Both those sealed below and those that wallow about the land as foolishly as He once did, return from whence you came!"

Warm tears streamed down the wounded Guardian's face, though not for her arm, but for the glorious return of the God of the Sea, and all the creatures of the oceans rejoiced with her.
