A Confusion of Flesh

A wedding of the disorderly to one touched by Fire. Her form appears damaged by the standard of lessers, nor is he willing. A message sent to the Burning One by Radiant Silver, warning of this Court. They are indulgent, too long unchallenged. We observe. It fascinates Us, this insult to Those. Perhaps They will choose to ignore the slight posed?

Ah. The Burning One has come to the disorder, to retrieve His faithful soldier. This is good, and true. Its death in loyalty to Him is one We appreciate, even with loss of this strength. Perhaps He shall replace it. Yet as We observe His strike upon the gathering, Justice for His lost creature, We grow troubled. Though He is not Us, We sense We are akin to Him. If the disorderly should destroy Him, what may result? This is a risk to Us.

At last, the Crystal One and the Black. He once commanded Us to kneel, though why We do not understand. Why should We kneel to One who is inferior to Us? But the moment is now. We shall intervene, for the death of the Burning One at the hands of this disorder grown gluttonous may threaten Us and Our plans.

By Our Will, let Time cease.

The Crystal Chimes speak truth, though We cannot comprehend Her words. Why should this death matter, save where it intersects with Us? They that are Order are agreeable to Us, but perhaps the Burning One shares Our distaste for those not of Us. The Burning One abandoned His duty once before, so They speak. An intriguing matter, one in which We see much to gain for Us and that which We are. Yet we begin to understand these matters of Those above those lesser, even as the disorder grown gluttonous rails against Our Will. It will bear watching.

It ends. An ignominious conclusion, yet one in which We learn of Those akin to Us and Their movements. There is much We have observed, and much yet to observe.

We shall continue Our studies of this Creation.

Summary: With the capture of Haldoran La'Saen by Ashtan for the Chaos Court, the Crone Queen Hecate chose him as the next subject of her attentions in birthing new litters for the benefit of Imperator Glaaki. Her ambitions would be cut short by the interference of Deucalion, the Righteous Fire, in her nuptials and His cleansing of Haldoran. A blossoming confrontation between Imperator Glaaki and the Divine Conflagration was similarly halted by the efforts of the Jade Empress Lorielan, the Lord of Evil, Sartan, and Tlalaiad, the Genesis.

Penned by My hand on the 20th of Phaestian, in the year 757 AF.
