Mount Piraeus

Early in Scarlatan 453, adventurers were on the alert as Naiad of Actar
Valley was observed to be suffering from a strange disease. She pointed
them to a putrid wave of pollution washing along the river, whose source
appeared to be somewhere beyond the waterfall. With the assistance of
the halfling guard, Bodo, they were able to secure a rope and ascend the
waterfall, discovering a settlement of cyclopes upon the slopes and in
the caves of Mount Piraeus.

Eager to explore, a number of adventures began to traverse the newly
accessible mountainside. But the main party, led by Lord Finchy Ithilien
from nearby Cyrene, pressed on with their task. They were finally able
to determine the cause of the pollution: a control panel gone askew, the
work of a very embarrassed mechanic named Hynes. Amid the angry bellows
of the chieftan Arges, a solution was found by trial and error, and the
control panel was reset. The river soon cleared, the pollution washing
free in the valley of Actar below, and Naiad's health restored.

Penned by my hand on the 22nd of Ero, in the year 455 AF.
