The Eastern shore

The frantic cry of a serf woman rang throughout the land in late
Scarlatan, answered first by an assemblage of explorers including
Nyneve, Hyano, Riashain, Delphinus, Kaiya, Neuroi, and Amirah. The
adventurers soon learned the woman's young son, Alden, had gone missing,
and set out in search of the boy.

After swiftly canvassing the immediate area, Delphinus ventured down the
cliffs near the Keep and discovered Alden floating, lifeless, in an
unfamiliar section of the Eastern Sea. He returned with the corpse, only
to be met with a wild accusation of murder. The would-be rescuer
protested, claiming innocence, but the fear and suspicion of outsiders
held by the area's residents prevailed, and the grief-stricken mother
retreated inside the Keep.

Further exploration of the area near Adryn Keep revealed a new sea route
leading to Shastaan and Riparium, as well as a secluded beach inhabited by
an aging hermit. The old man professed knowledge of sailing, but to the
dismay of hopeful seamen, was unable to instruct others in the skill.

Penned by my hand on the 20th of Ero, in the year 441 AF.
