I am pleased to announce the works that have been selected this month
from among the many entries submitted to the Fellowship. As a note to
submitters, please read HELP CONTESTS and send us graphic and written
work only in the formats we ask for. When you do not, it slows down the
judging process significantly. Thank you, and on to the results...
For the Bardic Contest:
-First Place-
"The Window of Souls - Book II," the latest book of Vorleth's Selucarian
epic.
-Runners Up-
"Developments in the Venom Trade," in which Niggurath suggests some very
inventive and entertaining changes for Serpent class commerce strategy.
"Into the Shadows," Flick's tale of sewer thugs with unusually high
aspirations.
"Tastes of Achaea," mouthwatering excerpts from Mulkerrin's detailed
cookbook.
-Merit Awards-
"Of Donkeys and Dragons," an entertaining account of Reanis's adventures
with an unusual companion.
"The Humgii," Seren's contribution to the oft overlooked field of Humgii
research.
"A Nomad Fable," with an interesting moral by Dirgath.
"Siren Song," a tale of self-discovery by Trill.
"Never Enough - Conclusion," the final chapter of Eternus's story of
greed.
For the Artisanal Contests:
-First Place-
"Rat Tales," an illustration of Xagis's observations on the popular
Achaean gold source.
-Runners Up-
"Resurrection of Youth," Kyra's lovely representation of a young man in
the clutches of Thoth, given a second chance by his elder.
-Merit Awards-
"The Blood Falls," depicting the grisly end to a battle before the blood
falls, by Verlaine.
"The Strike," the latest offering of serpent pride by Serentus.
"Self Portrait," a skillful work by Mint.
These works will be on display on the Web site soon. Click on the
"Player Art" and "Player Literature" links in the menu on
www.achaea.com.
Penned by my hand on the 8th of Daedalan, in the year 299 AF.
