Magi

We're very pleased to bring you the long rumoured Magi rework. The bulk of changes here will be found in Elementalism and Artifice, the former of which has undergone a great deal of changes and the latter of which has been rewritten entirely. Golems are no more, and we hope you like the new take on the skill!

On general design philosophy/playstyle:

The goal with magi was to make it very easy to manual but to retain complexity. As a result, you will find no combo attacks here or similar: magi will only ever have one command per round to perform. There is no more balance/equilibrium combos, and Magi is now a strictly eq-based class. Magi's no longer target limbs at all: they're now a strictly damage/affliction hybrid, and staffstrike has gone away entirely.

On elemental staves:

I won't go into too much detail about staff changes as you can note these in the ability files, but you'll note that all existing staves have been wiped. Those of you that had a staff customisation will find you now have a brokenstaff item in your inventory with said customisation: next time you create your staff this description will be applied to it. PLEASE NOTE: this does not make your staff resetting or nondecay. You have been credited with customisation credits based on if your old staff had either of these features, and you are welcome to add these back onto your new staff. However, given the new staff artefact described below, this may be a waste and thus we have decided to leave this decision in your hands.

Some artefact changes:

* the RAPID_RESONATION power no longer applies to the RETARDATION vibration.

* The SCHEMATICS power is now the SORCEROUS_INSIGHT power. If you have it said power has been converted, otherwise it is for sale at the same price as previously as the sorcerer's notebook. This new power doubles treaty durations and increases the level of summoned elementals by 50%: functionally this makes them have much more health.

* There is a new magi artefact for sale: A PULSING OMNICORE. This can be inserted into an elemental staff to make it resetting and increase the number of crystals it can support from four to five. This upgrade will apply a new description if you do not already have a customised staff, otherwise your customisation is retained.

Enjoy!
