Counting Cause

Hello everyone!

We are further clarifying our RP PK rules today.

You can kill someone for a death they have caused you, or for their involvement in an engagement. Only once per the engagement.

Cause counting is not conducive to a positive PK environment, and we have updated HELP PK to better clarify this.

We wish for engagements to be fluid things without people worrying they might have just given someone a reason to kill them multiple times based on a technicality: so one revenge kill per genuine engagement is all that is permitted.

Note: we consider an engagement to be over when a non-trivial amount of time has elapsed. Going to Sunderlands, leaving for five-ten minutes then coming back is still the same fight for all practical purposes.

Example Scenario:
- Eleusis is raiding Cyrene, and the fight spills over into the Muurn. Though they fight bravely Eleusis' group is overcome and the last two survivors flee to the clouds. Cyrene's defence party pursue and kill one of these survivors, the last makes it back to Eleusis.

- Ten minutes later, Eleusis regroup and return to Cyrene. They strike the assembled defence force who happen to be waiting at the Vashnar skies exit of Cyrene. They wipe the Cyrene defence force, then return into Cyrene and activate a tank.

- This was all one engagement. You do not get to kill someone for attacking you in Muurn, then attacking you at clouds, then defending their friends in the Vashnars when you return.

This will be clarified in HELP PK shortly.
