Sharpen your blades!

With Haidar's tournament fast approaching, we would like to go over the rules once more with some clarifications.

Firstly, you should familiarise yourself with everything in announce post 5258: all of the information in here remains true. As an addition, relics do not work for these characters.

I'll reiterate again: do not assist these characters. Do not transfer them items by any means. Do not scout for them. Do not exile, anathema, forest enemy, or excommunicate participating characters. Those involved in the event should also not give out any of their items, be that cures or other resources.

We're also going to strongly suggest you do not inform people of who you are when you assume your shell character. You can do this if you want to, but if large groups of shells who happen to all share the same city affiliation on their standard characters start working together, said characters might find themselves penalised. This does not mean you can't team people, but you should do so organically in the spirit of the event rather than splitting down factional lines. This will be very obvious to us if it starts happening, please do not do it. This however is not a duelling event: we do expect carnage.

We also strongly suggest setting a new password when you assume your character for the first time, as the one we will supply you with may not be ideal (or memorable).

For people not involved, we do not expect you to put the game on hold and not raid or similar. However, do not take this opportunity to do things you clearly would not do under normal circumstances: if you have decided to schedule a mass guard wipe for tomorrow, a reschedule may be in order.

Good luck!
