A Call For Combat Coders!

We are opening a call for those interested in becoming volunteer coders to assist with maintaining and evolving the intricate dance that is combat in Achaea!
Due to the complex nature of our codebase, we require applicants with strong programming experience in low/high-level languages.
Creativity and attention to detail are also must-haves. Achaea is a massive world and combat is very fast paced, so it is incredibly important to us that all solutions and new additions are exciting, engaging, and as close to perfect as we can get them.
Volunteer coders will be promoted to a Celani role, and will receive basic Celani training in the various processes that the team uses.
After this stage is completed would-be coders are then offered the opportunity to move on up to work in the codebase.
Due to the sensitive and potentially advantageous knowledge that comes with this position, once this second stage is reached it is not possible for coders to later return to their mortal characters.
(Those still within the Celani stage can go back to mortal characters if it is desired.)
How to apply
------------
1- Read HELP CELANI in full. Coder Celani do not follow the exact same syllabus as regular Celani do, but training in all the major systems that we use does happen.
2- Due to the legal obligations of this position, we require all applicants to be 18 years of age or older. We prefer experienced and mature candidates with at least 500 hours of playtime under their belt.
3- Send a plain-text email to makarios@achaea.com with the following information:
- Your real name.
- Your real age.
- Your regular occupation and employer (if you're a student, let us know what school you attend, and what you major in).
- Your characters in Achaea, and a brief list of their accomplishments.
- How many hours per week you feel you can contribute to Achaea.
- One thing you would change in Achaea's combat scene and why.
- A paragraph or two outlining your coding background, what your language proficiencies are, as well as any other skills you feel that you bring to the table (*nix admin / SQL etc.).

Applications must be received by 23:59 GMT on Friday, May 18th (that's 8pm Eastern, 5pm Pacific, and 11am (Mon) Sydney).
