You can now configure the special characters used to denote players and things in custom emotes. The default is $ for players and @ for things.
Use CONFIG EMOTING to see your current settings, and CONFIG EMOTING [PLAYERS|THINGS] <character> to set it.
Hopefully this will resolve some players' client compatability issues with the current system. Enjoy!
