Tournament of the Fang

In celebration of Year 500, yet another arena game has been introduced:
the Tournament of the Fang! TOTF is a timed and point-based combat game
where participants bridle animals to help them in combat. Read HELP TOTF
for details. Special thanks to the adventurer Blujixapug, upon whose
original idea the game was based, and of course to Tecton, who fleshed
the idea into life, as well as the various deities who lent their divine
essence to the creation of the animals.

After a couple of practice tourneys, a special tournament was run in
which the winner was promised a set of mithril spurs. There was a
three-way tie at the end between Blujixapug, Tali, and Pernicios, which
was settled by a round of Drunken Free-For-All, a new arena option in
which all participants are automatically made inebriated. Congratulation
to Tali, who won that Free-For-All and the mithril spurs.

In answer to the popular question: Yes, both Royal Guard and TOTF will
be available for cities to purchase for their arenas eventually. We need
time to continue tweaking and testing them though, so sit tight.

Penned by My hand on the 24th of Ero, in the year 500 AF.
