As the age-old saying goes, "You need to spend money to make money."

Today we have introduced a nominal fee to use the market channel. The
reasoning for this change has been the frequent misuse of this as a
means of free announcements to the rest of the Sapience, while not
actually attempting to sell something.

The cost is minimal, requiring you to have 50 gold sovereigns in your
hands before you advertise as normal. We appreciate that not everyone
can afford this when just getting started, so we have waived this for
adventurers under level 20.

For those frequent market users who feel this is an inconvenience, we
offer a Marketeer License for 20000 gold sovereigns, which is available
from the Delosian Master Shopkeepers office. To purchase this, just
enter the room and BUY MARKETEER LICENSE. This license will allow you to
use the market channel at any time without a fee.

As a courtesy, we have granted all current Master Shopkeepers a free
license. Be warned though, should you be in possession of the Marketeer
license and breach any of the rules listed in HELP MARKET, your license
will be removed without refund.

We hope that this opens up some further avenues for commerce, allowing
for services such as advertising campaigns to be offered as a service.
