Deepsea Diving gets the last jewel in its crown!
Today we have added new and unique items which may be found while
deepsea diving. These items will be at least a little different from
other items found on land, and in some cases almost completely unique in
any setting, often with interesting or unusual functions (such as, for
example, the ever-popular tentacle vial).
Deepsea diving now has all these facets:
- Deepsea denizens, some of awe-inspiring powers (such as the
fearsome duskfin tuna or malevolent sea dragon), and all
interested in keeping you from disturbing their lives.
- Flotsam, jetsam, and the like - one man's trash being
  another's treasure.
- Multiple types of puzzle chest to keep your wits sharp
as you try to unveil their secret contents.
- Gold! Probably only a few hundred, but possibly as high
as one hundred thousand, PLUS (see next)
- More Gold! We have the equivalent of a progressive jackpot
going on all the time. Every few seconds, the jackpot grows,
and every dive has a chance of taking a big slice of it.
Every dive has a chance to hit it big, although the richer dives have a
better chance. How do you tell a poorer dive from a richer? Your ship's
diving bell will ring the value of your dive as you reach the bottom of
the sea, from 1 weak bell, to 1 strong bell, all the way through 12
bells, which is the richest possible dive.
Higher bell dives, from about 5 bells up, will be sensed by every single
person on a ship at the time, so don't worry about having to brag to
your pals. They already heard it!
Bells are not all luck either. Locations that are visited least often
have a growing chance of having the best treasures (meaning, more
bells). Of the 2,939 unique diving areas on all of Achaea (some areas
are not useful for diving, or fishing, being too shallow and subject to
cleansing currents) - of those 2,939 diving areas, about 30 right now
are at 10 bells or more, so obviously SOMEBODY is missing out on the big
stuff.
This brings to a close, for now, our release of deepsea diving. Come and
have a ball out on the deep blue sea!
