In celebration of Year 450, we present to you a rare opportunity indeed.
We will be auctioning off seven plots outside of subdivisions for the
second time ever in Achaea's history. The first (and last, and up to
now, the only) land auction last occurred in the year 376 A.F. (that's
2004!), where auctioned plots went for as much as 4 million gold for
one.

Achaea's second-ever land auction will occur on Saturday, May 19th,
directly after the CTF ends and the Effigy of Victory is awarded --
around 10:15pm GMT. We'll put up a full list of the plots being
auctioned off as the time approaches, but we've got everything from
sunny tropical beaches to high cliffs. The auction will be a straight up
bid system, and bids will be in gold, to be paid at end of auction (we
will not accept IOUs or credits!). What's for sale is the ability to
build a private house on the plots being auctioned off; you will have to
build the house yourself using housing credits, and be aware that it'll
be twice as expensive as building a house in a subdivision.

For those who have always craved owning a house outside of city
subdivisions, this is your chance, and there's no telling how long it
will be before the next one! Prospective landowners, I'll see you there.
