Conversion to the Priesthood

Greetings brothers and sisters of Achaea,

I am writing this letter, to be circulated among you (beginning with my brethren in the Sentaari Order) as an explination of recent events and my decision to align myself with the Church of Achaea and join the priesthood.

As some of you know, I have been convicted to provide aid and help to others whenever it is in my power to do so. I would not sit here today, quill in hand to pen this note if not for the unconditional kindness of another. My bones would lie bleached and dry upon the Mhojave Desert. In my quest to model my life after this kind stranger, I was given a vision. A vision of an order when beings of all races and backgrounds came together with one unifying factor - beating within them all was the heart of a servant. Together this group might work together to bring aid and kindness to those less fortunate or experienced who are suffering under the oppression of life or others.

This order was to be called the Order of the Ivory Hand...

As will happen from time to time, the actions of mortals (in this case, myself) come under scrutiny from Sarapis who watches over all and gently guides the realms with a firm hand of wisdom. Sarapis, in a moment that will be forever holy and sacred to me, apprached me in physical form and told me that he had long looked for one in whom the servant's heart was so strong to bring healing to an organization who's purpose was in service and justice, but that had of late become stagnant at best and possibly corrupted at worst - the church.

Sarapis requested that I consider fulfilling my vision and bringing my youthful optimism to the Church, which has the resources to better help me realize my dream. I hesitated but for a moment, feeling torn between my oath to my Sentaari brothers and a wonderful oppertunity that came from no one less than Sarapis himself!

as Is evident from this letter, I have chose to trust Sarapis' wisdom and act upon his request. I pray that my brothers in the Sentaari will forgive and understand my actions and know also, that they have a *strong* ally now in the church and I would still like to see the Sentaari return to thier benevolent ways and work with this new and exciting program. I certainly look forward to such a combined effort.

As one of my first actions as a Papal Director of the Priests of the Church of Achaea and Founder of the Ivory Hand is to begin to establish "Relief Centers" for the poor and wounded which will offer food, healing and supplies for those who have suffered misfortune or are new to this land. If you would like to aid the Church in this humanitarian project or would like additional information about becoming a member of the Ivory Hand, please send a message (MSG) to me and I, or another of the Church, will attempt to contact you as soon as possible.

Also, the church will be accepting donations of food, clothing, and other items for which you have no need to re-distribute to those who might not be able to afford such commodities in new condition.

At the least, I ask that you offer your prayers to the gods that we will be successful in our vision for Achaea and that we will shall be able, with the help of the gods, to sucessfully balance mercy and tolerance with wisdom and judgement.

May the shade of Sarapis be with you,
Tassad Baraslan, Papal Director - Member of THe Ivory Hand
