Caleth I don't know about what your experiences are but guess what, those have been gone and dead, it's time to get in the present and what's been happening recently
Here's the way I see it
Man attacks Forest
Forest Guild raise prices to help out supply and demand
People blame forest guild for mans actions
Man grins evilly and does it again
Forest guild gets angry and raises prices to even hurt man
People get compassion on man and don't realize mans actions are actually hurting them
Man gets more greedy
and the cycle keeps on going.
I haven't been here as long as some others have, but I know well enough that past experiences isn't good enough. Let's point out the price of credits, everyones experience is that it's 1000 per, well guess what it's time to live in the present

PS, I have no intention to insult anyone. I'm just trying to get you guys to realize why we as the forest guilds has to raise prices
also here's a statement from help druids that you can expect druids to do if the forests or themselves are being attacked.
However, the Druids should not be mistaken for pacifists that will lie down when challenged. They are fierce beyond comparison when the balance of the earth is at stake and have been known to band together to punish particularly egregious offenders.
Guess what, exterminating the forest gets the earth off-balance. The only way we haven't been more agressive is because Dalamar can't be beaten physically 1 vs 1 and hardly with a group attacking him
