Laergon's Folly

Written by: Eris, Goddess of Chaos
Date: Friday, May 15th, 1998
Addressed to: Cooler than a Polo, It's Alanna

I have already given THE definitive response to all matters concerning
chaos in a previous news. Everything should be held up to that light. In
any event, chaos can and will resemble order and uphold oaths if she
so chooses or at least until she is bored of it. Your logic that if Laergon
breaks the oath, punishment should be determined by both myself and
Phaestus is not well taken. It is the height of arrogance to presume
to lecture the gods on our actions.

And, if, as you seem to infer, that you are the expert on godly matters
and chaos in particularly, surely you must know that I delight in
squabbles, be it on the news board as mortals or in other matters that
are far beyond your comprehension.

The funny thing about Laergon's oath is that in the normal course of
events, I probably would have forgotten about it come tomorrow.
After all, my initial post was rather a joke. But since such attention
has been devoted to it, by both mortals and gods alike, I will take
great pleasure in being the enforcer of Laergon's Folly.

Eris, Goddess of Chaos -><-

P.S. Don't get too close to those randy cows!

Penned by my hand on the 13th of Valnuary, in the year 191 AF.
